内容紹介

低炭素社会の構築や持続可能社会を実現するための環境政策についての講義用テキストの出版を望む声が多く寄せられている。ことに大学で環境問題に関心を寄せる留学生を含む理系学生・大学院生にはその要望が強い。本書は,北海道大学サステナビリティ―学教育研究センターにおいて2010~13年に行われた「環境政策」講義担当者が,そのような要望に応えるために出版したものである。本書の主な特徴として,以下の4点をあげることができる。①環境政策を含む持続可能社会構築が現代の人間社会において問われる一般的意味(序章),②その政治的な意味(第1章,第2章),③経済的意味(第3章)をふまえた上で,④EUならびに日本の環境政策の展開(第4章,第5章,第6章)を俯瞰している。政治学,経済学の初学者および日本の環境政策に関心をよせる留学生と国際社会にとって入門書として最適の書である。
